Kenan Thompson Developing Sketch-Comedy Show for Kids

August 2, 2017

Kenan Thompson is creating a new live-action comedy show for kids.

The show will be produced with digital-media startup Pocket.watch. The show, which is titled Pocket.watch Presents Skoogle, has a pretty interesting concept. Thompson is going to voice an "Alexa-like digital assistant" for kids. The "Alexa-like assistant" has actually been created to help kids with their daily problems, according to the show's plot.

It will feature an esemble cast, and the program will actually be aimed at kids who are between the ages of 6 and 11. It is being shopped around to streaming services and broadcast TV networks right now.

Thompson, of course, is no stranger to becoming children's programming. He rose to fame as a star on Nickelodon's sketch show "All That," and in the spinoff "Kenan & Kel." Kenan is currently the longest-running cast member of NBC's Saturday Night Live

Production on the new show is slated to start in the fall.
